Abstract: We will discuss the impact of technology generally on the investment arena. Our comments will include research and data on a variety of investment topics including a state of the investment industry as it relates to investment advisors and financial planners.  Under the headings of risk management and practice management, we will discuss various styles of investing for both preservation and accumulation of capital, and plan to emphasize the research around the impact of volatility on distributive portfolios.  We will provide historical references to investing cycles, market history and other research to back up the observations. We will also discuss how life insurance companies are using these technologies to manage risk in their portfolios and how these strategies impact clients.
